If you’re new on the sourdough journey, begin by creating your own starter. Take your time to get that active, then bake a classic loaf, or perhaps bagels or a cinnamon raisin bread.
Any excess starter or discard starter along the way can be used in pancakes, cake or cookies.
Sourdough’s long fermenting time makes it a great choice in laminated doughs like croissants, Danish pastries or puff pastry as it makes the dough easy to work with.
